The weather in Istanbul may be unseasonably chilly, but Turkish industry is burning red hot.
January numbers published Tuesday by Turkstat confirmed Turkey’s industrial production leapt 18.9% on the year, comfortably topping analysts’ expectations of a 14.8% rise. The news underlines the emerging economy’s continued momentum, since industrial output on average represents a whopping 25% of total gross domestic product."
