"Turkish Lira Rises After Central Bank Reduces Dollar Buying

Turkey’s lira strengthened against the dollar for the first day this week after the central bank bought the least amount of dollars in a daily auction for more than two months.
The lira rose 0.3 percent to 1.5041 per dollar at 5:30 p.m. in Istanbul, bringing the week’s decline to 1.8 percent. The currency gained 0.6 percent against the euro to 1.9857. "
