Russia’s embassy in Turkey has continued a good tradition to celebrate, in a special way, significant dates and events in the history of the Russian-Turkish relations on New Year’s Eve.
A significant date in the history of the Russian-Turkish relations will be marked next year. March 16th, 2011, marks the 90th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Brotherhood Between Russia and Turkey. The past period, which proved to be of great significance for the two countries, has been illustrated by a number of archival documents. The contemporary stage of the Russian-Turkish partnership, which is progressing and for which the foundations were laid down by the Treaty that was signed in 1921, is not forgotten either. And photos picturing President Dmitry Medvedev on a visit to Turkey in May this year offer proof. "
