Over the past few years, one of the most unique and important relationships in the world has started to come to an end. For decades, Turkey and Israel forged ties that not only served both nations very well, but also showed that a Muslim and Jewish country could work together against authoritarian regimes to increase security in the Middle East. As these ties have frayed, Turkey has reached out to China, a worrisome sign that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is increasing his connection to other assertive regimes around the globe."
