With the aim of underlining the importance of design for production, economy, cultural interaction and quality of life, the first International Istanbul Design Biennial will be realised in the fall of 2012, by Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV). The first pre-event of the Istanbul Design Biennial; an International Design Symposium will be organised at Kadir Has University, on 2-3 December 2010. "
