"Eroglu says time for EU to “make up for its mistake”

TURKISH Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu has blamed the EU for failure to find a solution to the Cyprus problem by allowing the island’s accession, and he has called on the bloc to “make up for its mistake”.
Eroglu, who returned yesterday from an official visit to Brussels, also commented on the Greek Cypriot side’s alleged threats to boycott Turkey’s EU accession process if the direct trade regulation is passed, saying: “If you give a weapon to 800,000 people to play with a Turkey of 75 million, they will become spoiled”.
