A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck in eastern Turkey on March 8, 2010 at 4:32 am local time.
The epicenter was located thirteen ( 13 ) miles south-southeast of Elazig and was 3.1 miles deep; the USGS said the quake had a depth of 6.2 miles. The earthquake occurred 388 miles east of the country’s capital, Ankura."
