"Turkish court deliberates whether to ban pro-Kurdish party

Turkey's top court is trying to wrap up deliberations on whether to ban a pro-Kurdish political party on charges of links to a Kurdish terrorist organization.

The Constitutional Court is evaluating Friday a demand by the country's chief prosecutor to shut down the Democratic Society Party, or DTP, for alleged ties to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, whose fighters killed seven Turkish soldiers in central Turkey this week."
