"Serbia feared by many in Istanbul

Germany, Ghana and Australia have been drawn as Serbia’s opponents in the group stage of next summer’s FIFA World Cup, while their football counterparts could today be awarded the same rivals, save for Ghana, for the preliminary round at the 2010 FIBA World Championships. The draw for the global basketball showdown takes place on Tuesday, 10.30am, at the Çırağan Palace Kempinski hotel in Istanbul, one of the four host cities of the event. The other three venues are Ankara, İzmir and Kayseri, while the World Championships unfolds next year 28 August through 12 September."
