A powerful earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck the Mediterranean region on December 22 2009.
According to Turkish authorities cited by Dnevnik daily, the epicenter of the tremor was triangulated in the sea between Cyprus and southern Turkish coastline."
