Turkish officials keep saying that the ratification of Armenia-Turkey Protocols is linked with Karabakh conflict settlement, Armenian National Congress representative Vladimir Karapetyan told NEWS.am.
According to him, international community tends to believe this fact and not hollow statements that there is no linkage between the two processes. Being reluctant to comment on forthcoming Obama-Erdogan meeting, Karapetyan nonetheless underlined that agenda is tight enough. Inter alia, Karabakh is one of the core issues thanks to Armenian authorities’ efforts. According to him, the fact that Turkey speaks now of Karabakh conflict is an oversight of Armenian diplomacy. Karapetyan says that for 15 years Turkey did not participate in the process, however after Protocols’ signing Armenia gained nothing, whereas Turkey comes out with demands."
