The transforming “opening” of the ruling Justice and Development Party, or AKP, government, which started as a “Kurdish” one, evolved into a “democratic” one and presently turned into a “national unity and brotherhood project,” has so far not appeased the ethnic Kurdish politics and the separatist Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, terrorist gang on the one hand, and started seriously hurting the ruling party’s popularity in the western Aegean and Marmara provinces of the country on the other, a poll has showed."
