ANKARA, Turkey — Turkey's military says it is planning to spend $1 billion (euro680 million) on four long-range missile defense systems.
Brig. Gen. Metin Gurak, the Turkish military spokesman, says the procurement is not directed at any specific country. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu denied media reports that Turkey is buying missile interceptors against Iran."
