Alcohol’s fate in an Ankara neighborhood will be decided in a few week’s time, when Bahçelievler neighborhood residents will gather for a mini referendum on a neighborhood alcohol ban.
“We’ve been receiving a number of complaints after a recent increase in pubs in the neighborhood. It will also clarify public opinion on this issue,” Ankara’s Mayor Melih Gökçek said in his address after the decision to hold a referendum was made at the municipal council Tuesday."
