"Turkish opposition opposes more rights for Kurds

Turkey's two main opposition parties are refusing to meet with the government to discuss its plan to grant more rights to the nation's Kurds as it tries to end a Kurdish insurgency.
The Republican People's Party and the Nationalist Action Party are against the plan. They accuse the government of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan of laying the groundwork for concessions to Kurdish rebels that could divide the country along ethnic lines."
