"Nato boss Rasmussen heads for Turkey
Nato Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen is due to arrive in Turkey on August 27 2009 for a two-day visit that will include meetings with top office-bearers and, notably, a conciliatory message to the Islamic world.
Rasmussen’s appointment as chief of the military alliance earlier this year initially was opposed by Ankara because Rasmussen was prime minister of Denmark at the time of a controversy about Danish newspaper cartoons lampooning the Muslim prophet Muhammad."
