The safety record for the Ölüdeniz paragliding community is commendable but occasionally accidents happen - usually inexperienced solo pilots are involved - and the road to the summit is in such a state of disrepair that ambulances cannot reach the takeoff points. The paragliding companies and local officials seek ways to increase the security measures for the sport
