A recent European Union declaration that an open border between Turkey and Armenia would enhance Turkey’s chances for EU membership has fueled Armenian optimism that a breakthrough with Ankara is, in fact, in sight, Armenian news sources reported.
'Now there seem to be some premises put in place to finding a way out of this unacceptable situation,' Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan was quoted by the A1plus news site as saying."
