"Turkish Cyprus airline plans to fly to Scandinavia
BREAKING NEWS
Cyprus Turkish Airlines (KTHY) has announced that they are preparing to start direct flights to Scandinavian countries despite international law forbidding direct air links between Ercan Airport and European states.
According to a press statement, a deal signed between KTHY and the DETUR Tourist Agency, flights from Ercan Airport (Tymbou) and Turkey’s Antalya Airport to Sweden, Norway and Finland will begin in February 2009.
The first flight will be a direct flight to Helsinki from Ercan Airport, but the report adds that most other flights will be carried out from the Antalya Airport on the Turkish mainland."
