"Commissioner Piebalgs affirms EU's commitment to cooperate with Turkey on the Southern Gas Corridor
Today, Commissioner Piebalgs met with President Gul, Prime Minister Erdogan and the Minister of State Simsek and Minister of Energy Guler, in a high level visit to promote the Southern Gas Corridor, which should bring gas from Central Asia to Europe. Prime Minister Erdogan and Commissioner Piebalgs discussed both Turkey's and the EU's security of supply situation and confirmed that they would work together to improve the security of gas supply for both."
