Turkey has sound economy in global crisis, says Simsek
Turkish delegation headed by State Minister Mehmet Simsek, currently in Washington D.C. for the annual meetings of IMF and World Bank, held a series of talks. State Minister Simsek had meetings with former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, German Finance Minister Peer Steinbruck, IMF and World Bank officials in Washington D.C. on Friday. Simsek also attended a conference organized by J.P. Morgan, a global financial services firm, and said Turkey had a highly flexible and sound economy in current global economic situation. Turkey's macroeconomic structure and banking sector were sound, he said.
