ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Pirates have hijacked a Turkish freighter carrying 20 crew members and a load of iron ore in the waters off Somalia, Turkey's maritime authorities said Thursday.
The vessel, named the Yasa Neslihan, was hijacked in the Gulf of Aden on Wednesday, an official at the Maritime Affairs Undersecretary said, but could not give further details. He spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to journalists."
