Against the backdrop of an economical downturn, M&S money has noticed a trend for Turkish currency this summer.
Sales of Turkish Lira have risen 53% year on year according to foreign currency agent M&S Money (www.marksandspencer.com). The Turkish Lira is the second most popular ‘exotic currency' in 2008, only being beaten to the top spot by the Australian Dollar. Non-exotic currencies are the Euro and US Dollar."
