ANKARA, Turkey: The leader of a leftist political party was charged Monday with being a senior member of a network of extremists accused of plotting to topple Turkey's Islamic-rooted government.
Dogu Perincek was arrested in Istanbul for allegedly "being a senior official of a terrorist organization and obtaining and possessing classified documents.""
