"Germany to delete controversial schoolbook text
A controversial textbook passage that critics said justified a tragic arson attack which killed a Turkish family 15 years ago in the western German town of Solingen will be deleted in the book’s new edition, the German Embassy in Ankara announced yesterday.
Families of students at a high school in the German town of Schleswig-Holstein voiced concern earlier this week that schoolbooks for seventh graders include texts showing sympathy for one of the perpetrators of an arson attack that killed two Turkish women and three young girls from the same family on May 29, 1993."
