"2007 Turkish Labor and Education Statistics

The Turkish Statistics Institute (TSI) released new labor force figures yesterday. Among the interesting facts:
The unemployment rate remained stuck where it has been for some years, 10% , although the actual number of unemployed increased with the population. Most were men and around half had less than a high school education.
The labor force participation rate for men is 71%, for women 24% ."
