"40% of Greek Cypriots support Turkey's EU bid

The Eurobarometer autumn survey has indicated that the number of Greek Cypriots supporting Turkey's EU membership stands at 40%.
Support for membership is the highest in Luxembourg (82 percent), while strong results are also seen in the Netherlands (79 percent), Belgium and Ireland (74 percent).
The countries where the majority of people are not approving EU membership are Finland (45 percent), Czech Republic (45 percent), Republic of Cyprus(40 percent), Hungary (40 percent), Austria (38 percent), Latvia (37 percent) and Britain (34 percent).
On the other hand, 53 percent of Turkish people replied in positive to a question whether EU membership is in the interest of Turks. This figure was 63 percent last year."
