Chief of Turkish General Staff Gen. Yasar Buyukanit honored Chief of Korean General Staff Gen. Kwan-Jin Kim with a medal of merit on Monday.
"Despite thousands of kilometers distance between our countries, we have close relations, as if we were neighboring countries," Buyukanit said during the ceremony at the General Staff Headquarters. "
