View by Ekrem DUMANLI Two major terrorist attacks have been perpetrated in the last week. The first resulted in the deaths of 12 villagers in Beytüşşebap. It is believed that the attack was carried out by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). The second was the ambush of a military unit (Oct. 7) that led to the martyring of 13 Turkish soldiers. These two attacks in southeastern Turkey have met with strong condemnation by the public. People are outraged; security forces are on alert and politicians are making very harsh statements one after another. "
