ANKARA (AFP) - Voters thronged polling stations across Turkey Sunday for snap legislative polls aimed at ending a bitter row over the secular credentials of the Muslim-dominated nation.
Pre-poll surveys predicted that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan would comfortably win a second mandate, despite accusations that his Islamist-rooted Justice and Development Party (AKP) aims to undermine the separation of state and religion."
