"Forest fire threatens homes in southwest Turkey

ANKARA - A forest fire fanned by strong winds threatened homes in the southwestern Turkish town of Bordun, which is popular with holidaymakers, local authorities said Saturday.
The fire had reached to within around one kilometre (half a mile) of the edge of the town and had badly damaged three houses."
