Turks to stand in Hamburg elections:
Two German citizens of Turkish descent, Aygül Özkan and Abut Can are nominated as candidates on the list of the Christian Democrat Party (CDU) in Hamburg, for elections to be held in 2008. Sources said that Aygül Özkan who is the chairperson of the Turkish Employers & Entrepreneurs Union (ATU) stands a good chance of being elected."
