When Kemalism is considered, one thinks of the Republic of Turkey rather than a universal ideology. One could say that another name for the Turkish government could be the ‘Kemalist government’. Without doubt, all founders of governments maintain special places in the history of those governments, however when concerning Kemalism, it is quite different.
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk was not only the founder of the Republic of Turkey, but also a social engineer who personally ‘directed’ the acquisition process of the new shape of the Turkish nation and he considered positivism the foundation of this new formation. He was the teacher who educated ‘the clueless’ masses."
