Germany has said that talks on Turkey's planned ascension to the European Union will continue and there is no need for a rush into an 'urgent' decision.
Jens Plottner, Germany's foreign minister, made these comments in light of the election of Nicolas Sarkozy, who is known to be against Turkish membership, as president of France."
