"Design contest in İstanbul marks reinvigoration of Turkish textiles
The third edition of a textile design contest, held in İstanbul on Monday evening, looks set to breathe new life into Turkey’s tired textile industry.
In a speech before the third Textile Design Contest, sponsored by the İstanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters Union (ITHIB), State Minister Kürşad Tüzmen commented: “Those from other countries have visited and viewed this contest. This has caused a return [of business] from the Far East, and textile orders are once again being given to Turkey.”"
