Turkey’s exports rose by 1462 percent during the last 25 years and increased from USD 4.703 billion to USD 73.476 billion.
Turkey’s exports which were USD 2.910 billion in 1980 boomed with the determination of the industrialization strategy based on exports and reached USD 4.703 billion in 1981. This increase which is equal to 61.6 percent originated mostly from the acceleration in the transportation, communications and other infrastructural investments which are of great significance for exports and the startup of the exports mobilization."
