"Wizz Air and Sky Europe plan Turkish connection
No-frills airlines Wizz Air and Sky Europe are aiming to start flights to Istanbul later this year, Luchtzak Aviation reports.
According to the Turkish press, the two carriers have applied for permission to fly from the Turkish Civil Aviation Authority and have signed deals with Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen International Airport.
If permission is granted, Wizz Air and Sky Europe will aim to begin flights in September or October and will join easyJet, Germanwings and Pegasus Airlines as carriers that operate scheduled flights to the Turkish hub."
