President Ahmet Necdet Sezer applied to the Constitutional Court on Friday for the annulment of certain clauses in articles 5 and 6 of the Antiterrorism Law that deal with the media's responsibility in antiterrorism efforts.
The clauses in question set fines and jail time for owners and editors of media organs that did not actually take part in a terrorism-related crime. "
