"'Turkey has world's most expensive electricity'

To add the cost of street lightning -- as if street lamps worked anyway -- to electricity bills is both absurd and futile, charged Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) head Sinan Aygun yesterday.
Aygun charged that it's unacceptable for the Energy and Natural Sources Ministry to be preparing to include general lighting expenses, which cannot be collected from municipalities, to the public's bills. Aygun announced that the chamber is set to start legal proceedings on the matter. "
