"Interest-rate hike expected in Aug.
06 August 2006
The foreign investment banks expect a new interest-rate hike in August since the consumer prices occurred over the expectations in July.
The July consumer inflation rate which was over the expectations strengthened the comments that the Central Bank might realize a new interest-rate hike. The investment bank, JP Morgan, noted that even though the Producer Prices Index (PPI) was much lower than the expectations, the inflation anticipations could be deteriorated since the CPI exceeded the estimations."
