The oil slick which leaked from the fuel tanks at the Jiyyeh power station south of Beirut has been threatening Turkish beaches.
The oil spill, which has already polluted the Lebanese and Syrian coastlines could reach Turkish and Cypriot beaches, local ecologists and the UN have warned."
