Now, the Greek-born writer has high hopes for his latest book The Towering Misfeasance.
It tells the story of a young Turkish man who gets caught in the middle of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
'It has taken two years to write, and it was difficult to get the main character correct. Even though I am Greek-born I decided to look at it from the Turkish point of view.'"
