The 47th International Akşehir Nasreddin Hodja Festival kicked off on Wednesday in the Akşehir district of Konya with a series of activities.
Akşehir Mayor Mustafa Baloğlu said the aim of the festival, scheduled for July 5-10, was to expand and promote the philosophy and humor of Hodja to the world from his hometown. "
