"Istanbul wins Red Bull Air Race
American pilot Kirby Chambliss won the Istanbul leg of the Red Bull Air Race yesterday with a time of 2:56.86.
But the real winner was the city of Istanbul. Thousands of people flocked to the shores of the Golden Horn to watch the spectacle, which included a special opening performance by Turkish acrobatics pilot Ali Ismet Öztürk. The race was watched live in over 80 countries around the world.
The next race takes place on the River Danube in Budapest, Hungary on 20th August."
