Istanbul, 24 July (AKI) - Turkey will also be represented at an international conference in Rome on the Middle East crisis, a Turkish foreign ministry spokesman, Namik Tan, confirmed on Monday. Turkey's foreign minister, Abdullah Gul, would attend the conference in the Italian captial on Wednesday, Tan said. Initial reports had indicated that Turkey had not been invited, sparking criticism from the Turkish media which said Ankara's attempts to mediate in the Middle East had been unjustly ignored. "
