Soon, our great country may make it into the Guinness World Records as the first-ever country to make a judicial breakthrough of suing and sentencing the characters of a novel.
We will owe this great success to nationalist lawyer Kemal Kerinçsiz, a member of the Istanbul-based pan-Turkish Jurists Union Association, who apparently has nothing else to do but defend what is contained in the Turkish Penal Code's (TCK) notorious Article 301: Turkishness. Kerinçsiz is usually at the forefront, be it a case against an Armenian conference held by academics and writers in Istanbul or defending Turkishness or the �honor of the Turkish Armed Forces� against the �insulting remarks� of Joost Lagendjijk or the �poisonous Turkish blood� remark of Hrant Dink, editor in chief of the Turkish-Armenian weekly Agos. "
