"Abkhaz Reports: Turkey Ready for Maritime Link with Sokhumi

Visiting Turkish Ambassador to Georgia Ertan Tezgor said on June 2 after talks with breakaway Abkhazia’s Prime Minister Aleksandr Ankvab in Sokhumi, that Turkey is ready to open maritime link with Abkhazia and help to bring Turkish investments in the breakaway region, Abkhaz news agency Apsnipress reported.
“I think it is important to undertake number of concrete steps. We are ready to consider issue of opening direct maritime link between Turkey and Abkhazia and not only passenger one,” Ambassador Ertan Tezgor was quoted by Apsnipress."
