While the country's politicians, intellectuals and media are bogged down in debate over whether there will be an early election, the next president will be elected by the current Parliament in 11 months' time, and whether Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will run for the post, nominate someone from his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) or common sense will prevail eventually and a consensus candidate emerges from the current dust for the highest post in the country, the majority of our people are, unfortunately, struggling to survive and couldn't care less about all these discussions. "
