The list of factors that define competitiveness in the global foot race of business is certainly long, perhaps infinite. But if asked to offer a principal factor, my candidate would be the topic of 'information parity.' I’m not talking about exchange rates or other forms of parity with which we may be familiar. I am talking about the balance between competing pools or accumulations of information or knowledge as they are held by individuals or institutions."
