"Turkey's Central Bank to Discuss Inflation After Rate Jumps
June 4 (Bloomberg) -- The Turkish central bank will discuss measures to curb inflation after the rate unexpectedly jumped last month to 9.9 percent, raising the prospect that it will lift interest rates for the first time in almost five years.
The central bank's monetary policy committee will meet June 7 and issue a written statement between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. that day, the bank said in an e-mailed statement today. The bank on May 26 said it may need to raise interest rates to ensure inflation goals are met."
